ROSSIGNOL SC80 POOR QUALITY CONTROL

ROSSIGNOL SC80 POOR QUALITY CONTROL

Has anyone else had problems with their Spanish made Rossignol skis falling apart in the first few months?
I had picked up a brand new pair of Rossignol sc80 in late Nov 2010, after 2 and a half months they have delamed underfoot so bad you can slip a coin in there. After a 10 email back and forth the Rossignol rep politely told me to go FU*K myself bucause even though I had the bill from only 3 months ago the store was not a authorized Rossignol dealer and they would not stand behind their product.
I have had Rossignol skis before that were made in France with no problems as well as many other brands made in developed nations and have never had such a problem with quality.
now I find myself having to pay for Rossignols desire to produce their product in what used to be one of the cheapest places to manufacture in the E.U., don't they know that Romania and Bulgaria have joined now?

Rossi have been making skis in Spain for more than 20 years.    As blanket categorizations of manufacturing in "_____  country" go, that one is more than a bit moth-eaten.

You should join more forums to spam this on.....Oh wait.

I haven't paid actual money for anything Rossi since seeing something similar happen to my FMs (topsheet only, they actually still skied fine) back in 1981.  I did see other friends' Rossi FMs throw edges something wicked though. Must have had bad glue for that product run or something.   I have avoided that brand ever since, but wouldn't pass up a really good deal to try again.  That was a very long time ago.  Curious to hear if anyone else got shoddy skis from them lately,,

TBH, this sounds a bit like skipping over all the good ebay feedback and merely counting the ungood.

Unless there is no other "ungood".  How many hundreds of thousands of posts here and I only see one with "Rossi" and "delam" and "bad".  Let's see what pops up.  There are already thousands of posts praising Rossi skis here.popcorn.gif

So with dozens of authorized dealers you chose to buy from an unauthorized dealer and now want Rossi to stand behind it?confused.gif  Out of the trunk of his car no doubt.

I would like to know what kind of skier and where the skis were skied before any conclusions.

You can wreck anything in the park and bad bumps.

A delam underfoot is usually the result of severe over flexing.

Still, stuff happens in production so I would like more of the story.

Gettting them really hot can also cause problems.

The ski shop I work at has a s86w in demos with no problems, rode up a chair while at vail with a woman that had s86w with no problems (she said they were stiff but loves them). Also a friend has s90w with no problems and also said they were stiff but she loves em.

The Rossi s86 mens and womens skis are identical so I assume the mens and womans s80 and s90 are also identical (except for the graphics).
