Fit differences between Atomic RT Ti and Fischer RC4 Pro 95

Hi there.

I have been using a pair of Atomic RT Ti150 boots for the last 2 seasons,  They have been good, but the instep still seems a bit high for me.

I need a 29 mondo boot, and have a very narrow foot, and the only other company that I have been able to find that makes a 29 in a 95 last is Fischer.  I just wondered whether there were any significant fit differences between the 2 boots.

I would obviously want to try them on before buying, but it would be a mission to try and find somewhere, and if there is no difference between the fits then it would seem pointless, and I will just buy more Atomics.

If there are any other brands making a 29 in a 95 last it would also be great to hear about.  Thank you very much for any help you can offer.

I don't know anything about the Fisher fit, but am also unaware of another 95mm boot in a 29.  Most companies do stop at 28.  Evidently having long feet  is a disadvantage in ski racing.

what Lou said, plus, most companies make a 29 in a 97ish mm (lange/rossi)

and you sure you need a 29?  if you can fit a 28, it will give you way more options.

What Mntlion said, but for me, Fischer are the lowest volume shell of all comp models.

Thank you all for your replies.  In my Atomics I have about 1cm of room on a shell check, and I use these boots for everything (racing, freeskiing, touring (not ideal I know), and teaching), so I cannot afford to have a too aggressive fit.

How much space is it possible to create in a boot (length wise)?  I have always assumed a 28 would just be too much.

between a good toe length punch and a punch or grind to move the heel bone back, a good fitter could easily gain 10 mm of length in a race shell.

most of the 95mm race last models have a neoprene toe box, so the liners could easily adapt to the increased shell length.

should also point out that all the fischer boots available for retail have an abducted stance. 7 mm total starting from the midsole of the boot.

We have neutral ones, straight from the catalogue. Maybe a euro thing??????

Am I right in thinking my Atomics have a slightly abducted stance, or is that just me dreaming?  If my alignment was good in my Atomics does that mean the Fischers will not work for me?

It's good to know that a 28 might be an option.  I have tried on a few 28s before in other makes, and they have felt a much better fit, apart from the length.

Thanks again for all your help.
