Head Jonny 94 or Kung Fujas 2011 or Salomon Shogun or Line Blend/Prophet

Hi guys,

I have some difficulties to take the right decision about my new skis.

Actually I am an "expert" skier, obviously, I am not a professional but I have been skiing for 26 y.o.. Now I am 32.

At the moment my skis are the extreme K2 (169cm). I feel well with these skis but I have understood that I need something wider and stiffer.
The extreme are very light and when I go fast I loose lot of control.
From the other side they are perfect for groomed slopes and they are not bad in the powder.

Honestly my first thoughts went to the Kung Fujas, because they are always K2 and I like this brand. Speaking with other persons and reading on blogs and forums I understood that there are lot of skis that are considered better than the K2.

Could you give me your insights about this point?

I usually ski in Italy. I do 60% on the slopes and the other on the powder that's the italian powder, so no Canada and US situation...unfortunately.

I like to find the park in the slopes or out of the slopes. Rarely in the park....for that I would like to keep the twin tips but not a park ski.

These are the best I have found on the net:

Head Jonny 94 or Kung Fujas 2011 or Salomon Shogun or Line Blend/Prophet

thanks a lot guys

i have the kung fujas new ones...

essentially i use them for everything except cruising on piste - own FIS GS skis and slalom skis also...

i am not a big park guy but they are great for in there... pretty flexible for landing etc...

off piste they are awesome... was in montgenevre(near you) in january and got one day of knee deep powder... but again i had never skied on as wide skis as them before...

on piste... short turns fun and skis are lively... wide turns fine on good snow and not had a problem with them... mine are set up with 90* edges and the skis are far softer than i am used to so on ice they suck but again i am used to GS skis with 87* edges and slalom with 86* edges that don't chatter on the ice!!!

moguls - they are fun - was ripping through them and the skis are perfect except the wideness...

i had never skied rocker skis before these and at first it takes a while to get used to - 179 is what i have and they to me ski almost as short as my 165 slalom skis with just a bigger radius...

i am off to val disere on saturday and taking them and my GS skis with me... i plan on the first day to use the kung fujas and explore everything which i couldnt really do on the GS skis...

very glad i bought them and they replaced my 1080s as my fun ski!!! strange you say they are getting bad reviews i considered many and after trying last years and reviews i went for them....

thanks man.

How tall are you? I am 170cm, so do you think I should buy a 169 or 179?

I'm a big fan of the Fujas, and am especially impressed with their hard-snow performance.  The rockered tip and tails make the ski feel shorter, so I would definitely go with the 179.  The 189 is probably too large, but I think for an expert skier, you would be leaning in that direction rather than considering a 169.

Infact I think that the 179 are the best for me.

What about the other skis? Shogun, Head Johnny, Line Blend or Prophet?

i am 189cm tall and ski the 179cm fujas... my GS race skis are 183cm

yep when i got my 179cm fujas i seem to get the last ones in britain in 179 as they were sold out everywhere guy said i was very lucky...

i considered the blend and the prophet but went for the fujas...
