How about both?? It's only an hour and a half between the 2 so go back and forth depending on the snow/weather.

Yes, i should have said that.  I was thinking about renting a car.

I might be available Monday the 14th in either Summit or at Vail.  Are you not coming to the gathering?

Bummer, I'm trying to hook it up for next week.  Should find out tomorrow if my vacation time gets the nod.

Think I'll be at WP/MJ at the end of your stint.  Hope we can gtg then.

I'm around except for the very beginning and very end of those dates. The kids have spring break that last week, but we don't really have any plans. We were supposed to go to Utah, until DH decided to have this pesky little operation thing ...

So far so good.  I'm not sure the nerve block has worn off completely yet, so we'll see how the pain levels are today. Not much yet, though. Thanks for asking. :-)

Husband, not me!!!! :-) If he doesn't use all his oxycontin, I'll feel better too, though. (KIDDING)

ACL. He tore it 3 years ago (at Steamboat Cats, actually, to sort of bring thread back to subject?) -- was doing pretty well with just a brace until last summer, when he had a wiffle ball accident (sans brace). He skied about 20 days this season, but it just wasn't right. Hopefully this will put his recovery right in line with the beginning of next season.

Dude, you should see how we play it out here in the Wild West.

(What's even funnier is that it was a Parent-vs-Kid Wiffle Ball game. I guess it's not funny. But he was rounding first, and a kid jokingly jumped into the base path to impede him, so he had to plant and cut to avoid said kid. Crunch. The other boys around him heard the bone on bone.)

Oh man!  I'm either gonna double up on the glucosamine/condrointin or retire from extreme sports like wiffle ball!

Also brought a smile to my face that our feeble spell check thought maybe I meant klansman/counterpointing.

An orthopedic surgeon friend said that his clinic should sponser the "daddy-daughter" soccer games they get so much business from them.

Just checked my calender.  I'm scheduled to leave MI on the 26th.  Looks like I'll catch you at the Gathering!

Yes, that's why they switched to wiffle ball. I know one dad who completely tore his patellar tendon 5 min into his parent-daughter soccer game,  another who tore his calf. After the last one in which I participated, I could barely walk for 3 days due to having completely rocked all my hip flexors. That did it for me. I'll stick to safe stuff, like skiing. ;-)

So, what day are you planning to come to Summit? If it's Monday the 14th I'd love to meet up.  I'm open to any Vail resort or Copper.  Actually, now that I think about it, I could probably swing Sunday the 13th but if I were you I'd plan Sunday in Steamboat rather than Summit County.
