Late season opportunity for PSIA members. Snowbird Spring Clinic 4/28-5/3

Snowbird, UT is inviting all PSIA members and their families from all over the country to participate in the PSIA Intermountain spring clinic. Please check the website at www.springclinic.org. Some of the highlights include guest clinicians and speakers including Shannon Bahrke, (silver & bronze medalist from Salt Lake and Vancouver Olympics in moguls, as well as several World Cup, NORAM) and collegiate coaches from Slovenia. We are also going to have the head coach Yaka Korencan of the University of Utah alpine team as well as team members to ski with clinic groups as well as demonstrate high level movement patterns that are used on the World Cup. This is a unique educational opportunity for any ski instructor and it's probably the most reasonably priced educational and fun event to be held in the US this year.

Costs for a 3 day clinic is $185 plus $20 per day for a lift ticket. Visit the website to get all the options, prices and information.

I am bumping this thread as the time gets closer.  Should be a good time at Snowbird & it is still snowing in the Wasatch!

Dear 4ster:

Does one need to be a member of PSIA to attend this Spring Fest?  I ask, because I got an e-mail to attend and I'm not a PSIA member.

Charlie P.,

Thanks for your inquiry, I am just a messenger.  AFAIK, you would need to be a guest or spouse of a PSIA member but it is open to all divisions.  I could be wrong though & I am sure you could get a definitive answer by contacting the PSIA-Intermountain office.

Hi 4ster:

Thanks for your response.  Actually, I did call the number listed on the e-mail.  The person who answered said that I would have to be at least a "registered" member of some PSIA division.  Since PSIA-intermountain and PSIA-w have the least expensive membership fee $89 and $85 respectively, I am seriously thinking about joining one of these divisions so as to be able to attend this Spring Fest and also be able to participate in other events.  So, I'm still contemplating.

Again, thanks for your response,

Think snow,
