I had the unfortunate experience of losing a ski yesterday. Deep powder in the trees. I was bit by a snow snake, the skis went one way and I went another.
I searched for twenty minutes, but it's exhausting digging around on a steep slope in the woods.
I had to hobble back to the lodge on one ski. That's not fun either in deep snow :(
Anyone ever lose a ski and find it later or go look for it in the spring?
I'm thinking about buying a cheap metal detector and going back early next week... If that doesn't work I'll hike up when the snow begins to melt.
