I don't think I've ever seen this long a line at Reso before; anyone else? (last Saturday)

Not even close!

Was it that long on the other side?

So this isn't typical? Last time I went there, lines were like this all over the mountain. I remember every run I could find was freakin' packed, too. I just figured that was normal for Copper on a weekend.

You clearly haven't been to Heavenly on a weekend. That line in your picture is tiny!

For Reso that is a long line indeed!!

Heavens no. Although this is the first Pres Weekend I have skied in recent memory. You can always find empty lifts at Copper; you just have to know where to go. After this we went to A lift, no lines at all.

Ahhh, you got suckered back to skiing Presidents Day weekend by reports last year that nobody came, eh?  Breck came close but didn't beat its record 23000 plus Saturday.

Not quite. When We got up to the maze, we realized that there were two entrances, but the one on the right was totally empty. I don't think anyone even thought about using the other line, out of habit. Our Vail friends kept grousing about how disorganized the maze was. I kept trying to tell them, No one is ever back here, they don't need a system. Really. Literally.

It was beautiful skiing, all the bumps were round and even and the sun had just softened everything up perfectly. it was VERY windy up top, so I think that's one reason for the crowd. Plus, president's weekend and all.

heh, no, we were meeting with a group of friends coming from various places, and it was the only day that worked. This was the only crowd we saw, though. I'm sure the center village was busy, but we avoided all that. My Vail buds, although not impressed with the lift corral, were very impressed with how much uncrowded skiing they were able to do. It helps if you like moguls.

Missed Sat, Sunday on the other hand, I had to wait 3mins @ the Super-Bee, now that line was Killer :)

Well, ten years ago you used to see lines like that all the time.  Copper has finally started to dig out of it's lack of visitors.  There have been more people there than I've seen in at least 5-6 years all season long.
