Looking into new boots. Coming out of of Salomon Course CF (2004 ish). 4-Buckle with Flex 120. Fit is okay on right foot, left a little more painful. Starting to stick more to blue cruisers, "easy" black single and double diamonds with generally GS or long Slalom turns, so am looking for a little more comfort than extreme performance. Excessive bumps or super steep not into anymore. Been there, done that. Still like to explore and get fresh tracks.
Skis - Salomon X Scream 195 cm and K2 Axis Pro 188.
Skier - Advanced Intermediate -Expert. I can pretty much ski anything although picture perfect style is not one of my strong suits. Height 6' 6", weight 215 to 230.
Leaning to a slightly softer /more comfy boot at my age (47). I need a boot in the 29.5/30.0 range (shell 335 mm+) with a last 100 to 102 (100 to 101 is best)
Looking for flex recommendations. I think I want to get away from 120. How low would you go? I was think no lower than 90, but I was inclined to look at boots in the 100 ish range. I have had boots that were too soft before and my skis, albeit straight skis, were difficult to drive.
