Just got my first semi park skis, k2 revivals, and I've heard a lot about doing presses and butters to work features. I'm just wondering how you do them? I've looked all over youtube and searched the forums, but no luck. Do you just put pressure on the back? Just wondering so that I can try them when i get my skis. Thanks in advance!
How to do butters/presses?

Depending on who you ask, a 'butter' is either when you work some kind of rotation in while you're sliding down a box or rail, or may refer more specifically to getting one end of a snowboard off the ground while doing a spin on the other end. (The latter trick cannot really be done the same way on skis, because of the physics of where your feet are in relation to the skis. A snowboarder can shift almost 100% of their weight onto one end of their board.)
A 'press' is when you balance on either the front or back of a snowboard/skis (a 'nose press' or 'tail press', respectively), either on flat terrain or a rail/box. This is tougher on skis than on a snowboard, again because your feet are constrained to be right in the middle of the skis.
See, for example:
I'd spend some time working on just riding things without trying to work in rotations or offset balance positions...
