Least busy week in Vermont (Sugarbush) in March?

I'm looking to go to Sugarbush for a week with my son (age 4-1/2) in March. I'll be putting him in ski school for the week, so I'd like to pick the least crowded week, if possible. We did the first week of January and the place was predictably empty -- for most of the week he was one of two in his group.

Right now I have a choice among the 3rd (3/14-18), 4th (3/21-3/25), or 5th (3/28-4/1) week. Are all the winter school vacations for Vermont and neighboring states over already? Or is there some holiday week/busy period in March I'm making up?

None of those weeks will be busy.  I would take the earliest one for the best shot at mid-winter conditions.

The Canadian schools have a vacation week sometime in the middle of March.  Will add a few more skiers to the Vermont slopes, but not a big deal.

After Presidents Day weekend, all resorts drop down considerably in attendees so I have been told.  I would take the above suggestions.

I spent a week at Mt. Ellen (Sugarbush North) two years ago in March.  Empty mid week, had great conditions too!  Check out the Hyde Away Inn for some good food and drink while you are there.  Heading west this year but my wife is already planning a trip to Sugarbush for next year.  (she likes to board but loves the retail therapy that is also available in Burlington, lol.)

Canadian schools have theirs from the 12 to the 20 but shouldn't add too many people especially to Sugarbush

I ski there quite a bit during non (US) holiday weeks & the place is always empty. That's Dec, Jan, Feb, March & into April. Get there before 9 & you'll definatley be parking in the front row either north or south..

If you want to ski both Lincoln and Mt. Ellen don't wait until the end of March. They close off that area early when conditions get sloppy or when skier days drop off. NJ schools are off at the end of the month also.

Actually, this week is a vacation week for kids from PQ and Ont. Several busloads of them are here. Mt Ellen closes on March 27th. As mentioned midweek is pretty quiet, especially over at Mellon. Plenty of coverage so March should be good. BTW March is not the snowiest month NE, it's not even 2nd. Alot of folks are always saying that it is. It's myth vs fact, I guess.
