Ski Tip

A friend of mine was skiing at the Yellowstone Club and was fortunate enough to have lunch with Warren Miller.

He told my friend that he takes Rolaids before he skis and that it dramatically reduces the lactic acid burning sensation you feel in your legs.

Just thought I would pass it on.....

He did get one more tip from another famous athlete at the Yellowstone club but this one was too crazy for me to pass along !!!!

So he was lucky enough to lunch with Warren or lucky enough to be skiing at the Yellowstone Club? Just sayin'

Spray WD-40 on your legs was the other tip....I am hesitant to say who the guy was (although if anyone would know about leg conditioning or leg fatigue, this would be the guy.

For the record...I am not going to try this one and will not advocate anyone else to try it !!!!!

just thought this might need a disclaimer

Spray a penetrating petroleum product on your skin on a regular basis?  I think I would seek out a second opinion before trying that one.  I also wonder if you were being toyed with.

Someone told me to eat bananas to help with muscle soreness.  I love bananas so it was a no brainer, and they tasted great, but I didn't notice any helpful effects.

I thought the "athlete" was toying with my friend but was assured to my satisfaction that it was not the case.

I've known several cyclists who have sworn by the WD-40 trick as well.  I haven't had any reason to use it, but this isn't completely unheard of.

After you spray it on the paper ,do you have to wait for it to dry before smoking it?

I am waiting for an invite from my name dropping buddy.  I think you have to be either a member or a guest to ski there.
