Skis Stolen - Elan SX Fusion Pro from Sundown in CT

I'm posting this for my brother who had the misfortune of having his skis stolen last week.  From Sundown in CT - Elan SX Fusion Pro 160 cm.

Details here: http://karmaarmy.com/index.php?option=com_sobi2&sobi2Task=sobi2Details&sobi2Id=96&Itemid=10

We'll be watching Ebay, Craigslist, etc.  Figured posting here could help.

Thanks.

I am sorry to say that I know Sundown.  As a very small, local hill with a lot of traffic, it is notorious for theft.  Most likely, it was taken by some 14-18 year old -- perhaps to use or, more unfortunately, to sell to some local "unsuspecting" youth.

Have your brother make sure to call police.  Sometimes management tries to make stuff go away by saying they will "investigate" themselves.  Be ready to be loud; it's possible management will even cover some of the loss.  They are very interested in minimizing what is a semi-going concern in equipment theft.

SKI LOCK?

I ski nights @ Sundown....always lock my skis, never had a problem in many years.

But I'll bet I don't see 5 other locks in use on any given day.....

I guess it's too much trouble for them.........

btw, I think Sundown is a great local hill

Like closing the barn door after the horse is gone, but yeah, lock 'em or lose 'em.  Thanks for a good timely reminder.

No doubt he'll lock his skis from now on.  Usually, he does.
