This is a good course with a lot of field work, We spent 2/3 of our time out in the field including a full day tour out of the gate at Moon Light Basin. The highlights to me were the emphasis on safe travel, interpreting snow pits and being very conservative when conditions were not clear cut as they were that day. Rating was moderate to considerable which our pit data supported (ECT 18 with close to full propagation)

Leaving the open powder slope alone was tough-but a good lesson to not be tempted by powder fever when encountering borderline conditions. I am glad I was able to experience some real decision making.
