Mobile App Available for Testing

Thread Starter

We want to let our members who have been asking for a mobile app know that TapaTalk is now enabled for EpicSki.

So how do you get in there?

  1. On your iPhone, Android, Nokia, Blackberry, etc., download the TapaTalk application. TapaTalk. The cost is $2.99.
  2. When you first load the app, you will see the ability to browse forums, view newly added sites, and search.  Click to search.
  3. Enter the name of your site (i.e. EpicSki, ChefTalk, Head-Fi, etc) and search.
  4. Your community should appear in the search results.
  5. Click to view the site.
  6. From there, you'll be able to login with your username and password.
  7. Then you can navigate in, check your subscriptions, see who's online, post in the forums, and more!

Please play around with it and definitely let us know what you think.

Finally.  Been using it for another forum for about a year and it has been great.

I'm happy to try it.

You need to add a "New  Posts" tab, or something similar. Right now you have to go into each forum seperately to see if there are any new posts.

Thanks for the feedback. We'll report it to the tech team.

it's not clear to me which threads are unread or which forums have unread threads. There's supposed to be an unread tab, I guess, but I'm not seeing it...?

The Blackberry beta version is not ready for prime-time.  Getting error when trying to read certain threads on forums.  Got Uncaught Exception (210) when trying to read the When Someone asks "how good are you" thread and several others.  Got an invalid method when trying to post to this thread.

Is there any way to have the app remember my login info?

I'm accessing epic with tapatalk while driving to the gathering.
I think some of the features are pretty cool ... Like taking a photo direct from your mobile phone.

The only thing I'm not finding is a pm feature.

I also got a notice that the have an update for iPad users.

1Password is indispensable, IMO, for desktop or mobile logins

I was about to comment on how distraction and not actual finger use was the biggest distraction and how concentration on your driving should be paramount.  Now that I see the road, I'm almost tempted to say but a brick on the gas pedal and tie the steering wheel to the gear shift after you get by that truck, but instead I'll just say, "Don't feed the bears, the other type of bears that is."

Ghost.... Funny
I wasn't actually driving, but was the passenger when I posted that. But honestly you could almost sleep while driving that section. But hats behind me and I'll be un frisco soon!!
