what glue for leki pole handle covers?

The cover over the handle (kind of like the tape on a bicycle handlebar) has come disconnected and slides down the pole.  Seems like an easy fix.  What kind of glue do you recommend?

3M Weatherstrip Adhesive (yellow)

Glue came and worked.  I couldn't really get it on both surfaces and wait until it got tacky because getting inside the piece that slid off wasn't really possible, but it seems to have worked.

Thanks again!

Comprex, any idea for a Leki pole that snapped nicely in two pieces? Other than "throw it away and keep the good one as memory", of course.
It's in the carbon part (it's an old Trigger 1 grip, Ventrix Ultra 6.0 HTS series Alu-Carbon )...
Wrote to Leki in Germany and got told to go to the shop I bought 'em from...Yeah like if they remember what I bought from them about ten years ago. And even if they would...

What, you don't have a story "I was just skiiing along, and ..." ?

You're supposed to have a story like that _every_time_ you go to the warranty department, haven't you learned anything from your US forum mates?    wink.gificon14.gif

Post pictures anyway, this sounds pretty good.

Ehe, actually...I have : "my son was using them that day and just skiing along, but because of the bad visibility he lost balance and tripped over one"

80 kg against one pole...guess who won?

I'll post picture asap... :-D

How long does it take to dry?  I have the same problem, got the glue, but left the poles at the mountain, so I'm wondering if it'll be enough time to dry if I glue them on Saturday night, hoping to use them on Sunday.

comprex - thanks for the info.  Indeed, and excellent adhesive for the application.  I have a feeling it might also work very well for padding boot liners.
