Cleaning a ski's topsheet - Page 2

Really though...........who cares about the topsheet.  As long as it is not coming off anyway.  The top don't make it go faster or glide better!  More focus on the base is what's in order!

Apologies as this is a bit of a random question, but does anyone know what product might work best for removing the glue residue from old stickers off of a ski's topsheet? I'm going to "retire" my old Dynastar Inspireds and want to clean them off before I mount them on my wall.

Gotta mount one base out!  Hey, threads drift!  :beercheer:

I got a pair of 100cm rental skis to give to our step-grandson for the Holidays.  The topsheets look like hell and it's a gift so I do care.

Did my best, got the stickers off, got most of the handwritten numbers off, but it looks pretty bad.  I'll try the magic eraser next.

I know I can make the edges and base look great, but as a gift I need to make these look better for the 7 year old.

I can't remember in what thread it was but I do remember seeing skis that people had made a new topsheet for their used skis...if you feel the artist in you... :-)

You are a nice guy!  Sweet!  You might try some car wax.  The types with cleaners in them.

Ha!  When I read this thread title last week my thought was, "Well, I use an orbital sander with 100 grit pads."   =)
