When to Buy New boots?

So without a doubt I need new boots; I am currently skiing in ex-rental mens salomons that are way too big and aren't right for my foot.  When measured for rentals in Sports basement, I came up as a 27.5 in women's Salomons, I have narrow ankles, a narrow heel, athletic calves (Always a problem, one comedian at the military hire place put me in a 28.5 as none of the smaller boots would fit my calves, that was an interesting day!), a high arch and wide forefoot. I need to save up and the earliest I will be able to buy new boots will be at the end of March, so should I buy then or wait for new stocks of boots to come in so that there is more size availability? I am planning to go to Start Haus in Truckee as it seems to be highly recommended everywhere.

Thanks for your help

Maybe I should add that I am a woman, 5'10" 160lb and skiing as a high intermediate, fairly aggressively and I am hoping to make it to advance next season!

I'm sure Start Haus will get you fitted in something correctly...   go see them

Your calf issue is generally no problem. We can adjust the cuff height and circumference of almost any boot to fit almost any calf. Inventory at the end of March will be lower than it is right now but we fit/sell boots all summer so we buy with the intention of not running out. Naturally, we won't have everything.....but we should have a couple of appropriate choices. Naturally, there is some chance we'll strike out and that you'd have to come back when new inventory arrives. I can't predict what you'll need without seeing your feet so make sure you have them with you when you come in to see us.

Thanks sierraJim! I'll book an appointment for the end of March and remind myself to bring my feet;)
