Ok I have a couple deliemmas, maybe someone can answer. I've been skiing for over 25 yrs. I am a 26.0 in US sizes, My one foot is 26.0 even and my other foot is just about a 26.5. I had high end dolomites and I struggled for 7yrs bc the size I got was 26.0 US and it killed my foot for many years to where my foot went numb and I was in agonizing pain. My shoe size is a 9. Lately I've looked at Salomon impact 10cs and Nordica hot rod 95. I ski very aggressive, bumps mogels mainly, I go in the trees, park air stuff, and off piste stuff when I can find it. What do you guys recommend? I don't want to make the same mistake again. I thought the 26.5 felt good a little roomy, but better than being squashed and going numb, i thought if I get it right the most I would have to do thicker footbed to compensate the roomy factor. Please let me know. Need help.

Suggest you post this in the Boot forum, where some experts will field it. Sollies tend to run wider in front, narrower in the heel. They are also easier to stretch because of the different plastic used in the outer forefoot region. Nordicas tend to run medium to high volume all around. So most of your decision should be on which boot fits your foot shape, not your lengths. That can be dealt with. Also pay attention to the instep area, since you want enough vertical space. Some issues there can also be dealt with by liner and bed.
My own hunch is that a) your problem is not length anyway (I wear a 26.5 and I'm a 10.5-11.0 street shoe), but pressure over the veins on the top of the foot, possibly also that your forefoot is getting pinched, pushed upward. A good footbed and some stretching will help that. b) A half size difference is not unusual, go with the shorter size since the shell is the same in either a 26.0 or a 26.5. Diff is the liner thickness. c) A good bootfitter should be able to deal with the stretching and grinding. d) You need a custom liner like an Intuition that will fill in better around the differently sized spaces in your two feet.
