Which skis for Grand Targhee/Jackson Hole

I just checked my quiver and I have accumulated quite a collection of used skis...now I need to figure out which ones to bring out to WY.

what I want is good powder performance but also something that will work on the tight stuff...I'm doing the Steep and Deep camp at Jackson and want to be dialed.

I don't know much about the construction of these but have always used wood core skis...

The Nordica W105 ~170ish floats nice in pow.  (already mounted with a binding, wood core)

Salomon Gun 181 (used)

Salomon Pocket Rocket 185 (used)

Atomic Sugar Daddy 183 (used)

Head Monster 181 (un drilled)

Not 100% on these non wood core skis and all the stress with a ~195# skier plus ,my KBG mono on just one ski although my Atomic 10EX held up just fine, it just got tired...thoughts?

I'll also bring atleast one GS ski for the groomers...

Are you going for the Adaptive Steep & Deep?  I know most of the instructors in the adaptive program and think they are all great.  Sounds like most of your skis would be good.  Maybe I'll try and talk with Kurt or Nate today and get back to you.

The word I got was that you should look for a ski that is a wood core with some metal in it.  Also something not too wide is best.  They told me that 90-100mm underfoot is plenty.  The wider skis make it hard for a sit skier to change edges.  This gets harder depending on where in the spine the skiers injury is.  One suggestion that came out was for a Line ski.  I forget the model.  Probably the Prophet, although I'm not sure of that construction.  The other suggestion was to get a derby plate or something like it.  This stiffens the ski and gives something more substantial to mount the binding to.  It sounds as if they have had problems with the tails of the skis breaking where the heel piece screws went in.  Either way it sounds like skis used with the sit ski set-up wear out pretty quickly.

I was thinking Line Prophet or Volkl Mantra, or maybe a Phantom if they have anything available...and if I'm gonna throw down on some new skis,... not sure about metal top skis...I spit out a Volant Chubb pretty quickly years ago.  Maybe I should go with a plate but I already sit high in the KBG...I have a tendency to break 'em in front of the toe.

How's your camp going?  I've been seeing you guys around quite a bit this week.

The camp was freaking awesome...except now I'm spoiled and will need regular JHMR fixes.
