So I went to Northstar today. I am a mid lvl 5 or starting lvl 6, but today I skied like a pro. With 20-30mph head wind on the backside it effectively worked as free breaks, and it took all the weight off my legs. I was going down black diamond, making perfect carves. Without any heavy breaking, I nearly double my average amount of runs today. The wind also blew a fresh layer of snow each run, so there wasn't any crud. Gotta say it was my best ski trip ever.
Windy day helped me skied like a pro.

I was there too! Sounds like you found the "GO" factor?! Where you seek speed rather than turn to brake. Now take that same sensation into your skiing when the wind isn't blowing and your turn transitions will be easier and smoother! I am there on weekends if you ever want to make some turns!
