Hoping we can have some good April conditions so we can venture out to Vail Pass.
Any reports you can share?
Seems I should try them after 27 years of skiing Vail.
i skied with them about 4 years ago. they supplied coombas and the powder was deep. great lunch at the yurt to go along with approx 11
epic runs. i highly recommended this tour. ps they provided transportation from vail and back as well.
Funny how it never occurred to me until my buddy from my last trip to Powder Mt., emailed me about Irwin @ CB for our trip in April. I've done Steamboat and Keystone cat trips in CO, but never really considered it an option for late season in Vail. Maybe because we rarely cross the Pass once in town, and if it snows BIG while there, what's the point? Also, when the Pass is closed, no one gets in or out! I have dreams about this scenario, missed it last April by a week, and lived it the two previous Aprils. Vail skis huge late season with no one there.
So maybe this year, their website cites a "when conditions permit" disclaimer on skiing late season.
