Skis.com Video Reviews...

For some reason I like watching those.  Seeing and hearing the folks talk about skis they just skied on and seeing their numerical rating is helpful.

HOWEVER

One female reviewer who is listed as "expert" and 120 lbs frequently rates men's skis as being "soft" or "too weak," even when men of similar listed skill rate the same skis as "awesome."  Suspiciously, the same person reviews some allegedly "softer" skis (like Volkl Racetiger cheater GS) as being great.  Perhaps the person does indeed not like some skis, but perhaps thinks a ski is "too weak" when is actually "too stiff"???

Well, when I watch a review like that for a cheater GS ski I want to buy (example; Atomic D2 GS) and hear it is weak from a 120 lb woman, that gives me reservations about buying, since I am a 185 lb man.

Does anyone have any thoughts on how seriously I should take this person's criticism of skis?

Umm... I realize that I'm dissing my neighborhood, but  two runs on a midwestern mountain does not cut it for evaluating a ski.

They are posting reviews after 2 runs?  Heck, I can't get a good feel for a ski until after 5 or 6 runs, minimum.  And I don't think I would be comfortable giving a review of a ski until I had been on it for at least a few hours.  But that's just me.
