I have a mounting question
I have a pair of sultans 85 (mm)
I can get a pair of marker griffons with a 110 brake
Does that pose an issue that the brakes are 25 mm bigger
Because the brakes are so wide compared to your ski they will likely not tuck in when your boot is in the binding and may stick out beyond the sides of your skis. This is not such a good thing as they will take some abuse whenever you tip the skis on edge enough to be dragging the brakes in the snow and it will likely affect your ski performance negatively. I've bent a number of brakes although the purpose has always been to make them fit wider skis. However, it seems logical that you could bend them to fit narrower skis, too. If you have a sturdy vice, some vice grips and a pipe that will fit snugly over the brake arm you should be able to bend them to fit your skis. Your goal would be to have the brakes not sticking out beyond the edges of the skis when your boot is in the binding.
