'10 Dobermann Pro 130 EDT Tongue Issues

this is the model i'm talking about:

DOBERMANN%20PRO%20EDT%20130_enl.jpg

it's the model with the "leather" on the upper part of the rear AND on the upper part of the tongue...

background:

aggressive skier

former boot fitter

booster wc straps

custom insoles

i'm getting what some call "shin bang," however this doesn't really describe what is going on... the pain in my shins isn't from any sort of impact against the tongue, but from a "bump" or "ridge" in the middle of the leather section of the tongue... this section presses into my shins and it hurts like hell after a few runs... the only thing i've been able to fashion to work is a neoprene pad that i put between my sock and the tongue...

i've noticed in the pros from the year before and the year after mine, that they have a full cloth tongue, and do away with this leather upper section on the tongue...

any insight?

does anyone else with this boot feel what i'm talking about?

short of removing the stuffing out of this section, or buying the "all cloth" version of the liner, i'm at a loss... any help is appreciated...

thanks

is the tongue removeable, or adjustable?  with velcro on the bottom, near the toes?   any better or worse with the tongue higher or lower?

maybe see if norcica will send you just a tongue only?  (what size?  I might have one)

i've thought about the intuitions... it might have to be my option if everything doesn't work out...
