Atomic SX 614 binding mounting problem - Page 2

The adult male's plate measurement between the forward brass hole of the toe piece and the forward brass hole of the heel piece is 334mm. If your's measures less (307mm) then you have the women's/junior plate on your ski, which I believe is what is going on there.

There is nothing wrong with the plate, you just have too large of a boot. Change your boots out for a 284mm long sole and you will be fine.

Only a socialist canuck would come up with an answer like that!biggrin.gifbiggrin.gifduel.gifbiggrin.gif

My comment was tongue-in-cheek in rebuttal to the "something wrong with the plate" comment. If an adult buys a children's ski, then it is their fault if the binding does not work.

I was joking with ya!ROTF.gif

AM

By the way, I am loving the D2 RACE GS. AM SKIING THE 179CM NON-FIS 18.4 m ski! Great freeskiing and perfect for Masters GS!

Also bought a pair of older (maybe 2004 w/Aerospeed Red/Black) 209 Atomic SG with the WC plate. They are literally immaculate. Like New. Tuned to a gnat's ass and have been waxed incessantly! Have had an absolute ball on them when the hill is empty enough!!!!

I just dished it back. biggrin.gif

I played around with the 179 as well. Fun, but I like the longer radius of the 186 27m FIS GS for free skiing and masters type courses.

You should have taken the SG to Silver Star for the Over the Hill Downhill this weekend.
