His back. No, not "he's back". His back. Again. Have fun trying to pronounce "microdiscectomy". The surgery was done in Park City!

I take it he'll have to change his swing again.

My rehabilitation is to the point where I’m comfortable making plans, but I still have work to do,” he said in a statement released on his website. “Whether I can play depends on my continued progress and recovery. My hope is to have my game ready to go.”

First event is the Safeway Open 10/13 - 10/16 in Napa, CA. Get a bottle of red ready!

Interesting.  I suspect TV ratings will pick up.  I haven't been watching the tour lately but this will be worth tuning in for.

Read that Phil is petitioning to be in the same grouping, That would be fun to see.

Let's hope he gets a late wildcard for the Ryder Cup. The ensuing shitshow would be the Euros' best chance this time around.

Don't seem like the Euros need much help lately..  :)

Tiger could learn a thing or two from Donald Trump about never withdrawing. So much for the Safeway Open. He's not back.

Tiger's return to professional golf appears to be still on for this week for the Hero World Challenge. Since Nike is getting out of the golf business, his equipment choices are generating interest. His new ball (Bridgestone B3330S) is one of my favorites.

So it looks like it's time to warm up the old pipes once again ....

He's BAAAAA.... AAAA... CCCCCK!!!!

Woods finished 15th in the 17-man field with rounds of 73-65-70-76, but his 24 birdies led the field for the week alongside Hideki Matsuyama, who won by two shots.

I thought he looked pretty decent.  Didn't make too many terrible drives.  Seems to have fair control over his shot shape.  He made a few mistakes that old Tiger never would have made..putting it in the greenside bunker with a downhill to the hole..and he puked the escape.  Still, not bad.  His back looks a lot more flexible.  We'll see how it does week to week..if it holds up.
