i used to rent boots but the rentals kill the ball shaped bone inside my left ankle. (see picture of my left ankle below) After a few minutes it gets painful to wear and will continue to be painful for weeks after i'm done skiing.
so i'm getting my own set of ski boots before i go skiing next week.
i am a size 9 men's shoe, maybe slightly wider foot then average but not super wide.
when going to a store to buy boots, anything specific i would want to tell them (besides the obvious) that would help me find the right types of boots for skiing.
can you make any recommendation for boots that i might start with?
thanks for any advice
