My girlfriend and I are taking our first trip out west to Salt Lake City in a week. We both have been skiing for a few years on mountains near NYC and are still relative beginners. I have a pair of used skis that I got for dirt cheap(from someone who bought last season's end rental skis from hunter mountain) and I used them once this season at Hunter Mountain. They worked fine for me, but I was wondering if I need to rent better skis when I get to SLC. Does anyone have any insight as I would rather bring them with me (free on Jetblue) then have to pay for rentals. I am only skiing greens and blue trails out here so I will probably only ski green trails at Alta, Brighton, Solitude during our 4 days stay in SLC.
Thanks for your help,
