I am 26, and have been skiing at varying levels of frequency for about 22 years now. I really enjoy it and am quite strong on skis. But I have never really been a enthusiast or very knowledgable on ski equipment. Luckily though my dad and brother have a fixation with having the best and newest ski equipment......so I always thrived on really really awesome hand me downs :)
Anyways I am heading off to whistler, and I am wondering what pair of skis I should take with me to have the most enjoyment overall.
The set I have used for the last 2 years is Atomic Beta Carve 9.11's. They are a short wide ski. 160cm with 11m radius. Apparently really awesome carving skis.
My brother always insist I use his old pair which are Beta Carve 9.20's. They are length 190cm and 20m radius.....I guess an all mountain ski.
I just want to go there with the most well rounded ski for powder, groomed, and back country.
The 9.11 get a little fluttery at high speeds.
Will the shorter wider skis be better for powder?
