Well let me start off by saying sorry for annoying anyone with a question I know they sick and tired of hearing.
That being said "I need to know what pair of skis I should get?"
I am 5'8" 155lbs, 19 yrs. I think I am somewhere around a level 8.
Currently I am skiing an old pair of 2nd generation rossi B2's in a 160 length. I know longer feel comfortable on this ski. I just can't get hold a good edge at speed, and just does not feel stable when I push it.
I would like to keep the price under 600$ (w/ binding).
I live in WV and ski mostly at wisp; however I usually get a good week in CO every year.
I am looking for a ski that I can use in the east, and I really want an all mountain ski I can use in CO.
Love to ski the bumps and enjoy the trees and backbowls, I want it to survive in powder and carving would be nice.
I skied a pair of 172cm vokl kendo's that were a lot of fun. They worked well in the bumps, but I was very tired afterward. I actuallly enjoyed carving for the first time in my life when I was on these skis.
I have looked around and I think a pair of last years prophet 90s would be good. I am however undecided on length. I am leaning toward 172's but that seems just slightly long for someone my height, and 165 seems just a little short.
Also have found a few pairs of apache raiders, and interceptors locally for a good price. But I don't know how good of an all mountain these skis will be.
If anyone has any advice or recomendations I would really appreciate it.
