Driving from DEN to Beaver Creek - places to stop for good local beer

Hey, All.

Pretty simple question, I'm driving from DEN to Beaver Creek next week.  The wife and I always try to hit up a good local brewery whenever we're out of town.

Any suggestions for places to stop along the way?  Any good brew in Avon?

Thanks!

Along the way:

Dillon Dam Brewery - Dillon (or is it technically Silverthorne?)

Pug Ryans - Dillon

Backcountry Brewery - Frisco

Breckenridge Brewery - Breck

All serve excellent bears to beers.

Urp

That's beers to bears.

Thanks for the quick reply.  Any personal favorites among those mentioned?

I think Pugs has the most traditional bar like atmosphere.

The other three have an industrial motif; big high ceilings, a bit loud. At the Dam you practically sit in the brewery at some tables.

Another one to consider is the Blue Spruce Inn in Frisco. They server beer from Pugs and Backcountry. Their menu is upscale for dinner (just ate there last night, yummy). They are under new management and I didn't look at their lunch or bar menu, but they are likely comparable to the rest.

The original four have mid range menus. All good food. If you hit it during lunchtime, I think all have 'working man' lunches. I don't eat or drink out much but I'd go to any of them and enjoy myself.

Pugs sounds more like our speed.  Just looking for some good local brew and a place to relax before continuing our journey.

Michigan beers are pretty tasty, but CO is supposed to be one of the top in the country per capita.

Personal fave from MI.

I always liked Tommyknockers. Used to stop there religiously when driving from Denver back to Steamboat. It's in Idaho Springs, which is a fun little mining town to stop in anyway. The food there is pretty good as well.

Sounds like some of the others might be a drive into town from I-70, but Tommyknockers is pretty much right off the highway. Something to consider if time/speed are any consideration.
