matching edge angle - cant problem?

At ESA Stowe this December my coach, Sue Kramer, saw that, among all my other problems, I had my knees too close together, sort of knock-kneed, and  wasn't edging the uphill ski as much as the downhill.  I've been trying to drive that uphill knee out of the way but I'm wondering if this is an alignment-cant issue. I just noticed that I'm about half an hour away from Cantman (Bill Kaplan) and thinking about an appointment. Posting this in bootfitting too.

Bud suggested I try playing with the cuff angle (mine's adjustable) but it didn't seem to make much difference. Bud, I'd come see you but Feasterville, PA is an easier drive than Reno from Philly.

If you are posting this to determine if you should be checked for canting the answer is yes.

I'm going to see Cantman on Saturday. Will report his findings.

Billy is giving me two degrees outside high each foot. Also found that my left leg is shorter, and that one may get two and a half. Should have on snow report by end of next week if it doesn't rain too much.

The experience was impressive. Took about 90 min. of evaluation and experimenting on his own measuring gadgets. And a good bit of hands-on foot manipulation. Would make a great foot-fetish movie. It was comparable to getting a bike fit from Tom Kellogg at Spectrum Cycles.

Have you done that?
