Lots of threads about cold feet this season....so much for global warming.
I also am a victim of cold feet more so ever since I decided I need to ski in full on race plug boots.
I have contemplated buying commercially available electronic boot heater products but have been very put off by the prices. I know enough about electronics to know that the technology and materials used to make them dont equate to even a 5th of what they charge. I am all about getting the best money can buy, but I am not about getting robbed.
So just as I suspected the boot heaters out there are extremely overpriced as demonstrated by this person who built his own. I would imagine a person with some electronics expertise or time to research it could go the extra mile make one with all the bells and whistles that Hotronics and Therm-IC have and then some.
In short he bought the Therm-ic insoles and simply plugged in some standard rechargeable batteries, they are good for 10hrs and saved him $150.
