What is a Beardski, and can it make me ski like Volantaddict? - Page 2

But the weather is warm.  Ski beard seems optional.

With the spring weather I may try out Heavenly's grooming this weekend.  Somehow good grooming and a ski beard seems sorta mutually exclusive.

You should use it on your motorcycles toospit.gif

I can see it on the cruiser, but somehow the FJR vibe is different.  Just look at the difference.

Besides a bear with a full-face helmet?  I'd have to ask Weems. nonono2.gif

Some of us have it, naturally

Some don't.  Nice to see you back from the mountain.  How's the Bowl fairing?

Some could have it if they allowed themselves to look naturally. wink.gif

The Bowl has more snow now than it usually gets for the whole season (101" up top). It's been a crazy-awesome season; I expect that the best is yet to come. yahoo.gif

I got rid of my beard this summer.  I discovered there was a colony of alien scorpions living in it.  They had to go.  Now I love being without.  I shave 8 or 10 times a day.  I love the little cuts that sprout up on my skin.  I've missed it so much.

Besides, having a beard wasn't fun anymore since we lost Little Jack Taylor and Captain Jack.

Yeah, but how absorbent is your beardski?

SARAH FRIEDMAN/Herald Ryan Lowe, winner of the beard- absorption contest at Carver Brewing Co., almost filled two cups of beer by placing his beard in a bowl of beer, then wringing it out into a nearby cup.

It's Snowdown week!

Now that's alcohol abuse!

One thing I do miss about the beard:  I could dip it into soup or booze and always carry sustenance with me on my face throughout the day.

You flatter me, Suzy Creamcheese.

Acutally, the patch was an homage to ole Frank. Good call.

Don't underestimate the power of the beard!  Watch and learn . . .

I wore my new Beardski this week at Crested Butte.  I love the look and the warmth - I had no problem with goggle foggage.  However, the velcro back patch is far too wide to wear with a helmet.  It is stiff, and grinds away at the back of my neck.  It needs to be less than an inch wide, and it's more like 2.5".  I think they got carried away putting the company logo on the back.

I'm suprised nobody has mentioned this before; even with motorcycle helmets it should be irritating.

I see a new thread emerging....   should I wear a helmet with a beardski.... and if so, should I wax........ and what's the best ski to use?  Non-rockered models only of course....
