So I demoed these the other day(7-8 runs each) and really loved them both. I'm looking for a mostly groomer/crud ski. The Kendos were brand new and the Mantras were last year's demos with a reeeeeally bad tune on them. I did feel that the kendo carved better but feel that it was alot to do with the tune. I liked the stabilty of the mantras but I'm used to carving a 188cm Wailer 105(my only ski right now) so maybe that was just force of habit.
Can anyone compare these two for carving? How do those turn radi translate to the snow? I was surprised to see those numbers but 8mm=.3" Thats not that much.
If money were no object I'd probably buy some kendos right now based on the demos. BUT I'm thinking that if the mantras really carve as well with a good tune that I could find a good deal on a used pair.
So I guess I want to be told that the mantra will be a fun mostly groomer ski that can lay trenches as good as the kendo.
Thanks for any input.
PS anyone got any mantras for sale?
PSS yes I know there are alot of other skis out there and am considering the Elan 888/apex
