Question about bindings offered w/Dynastar Sultan 85 sale. Also, is this a good deal?

The 2009/2010 version (but new) of this ski is offered online for $499 with "Dynastar PX12 Lifter Medium bindings."  I'm assuming that this is a flat ski and not the "fluid" system.  Is there anything I should be concerned with regarding the binding that is included?  I wasn't sure what the "medium" referred to.

I'm assuming a DIN range to 12 would be okay for me.  I'm 5'10, 190.

On the surface, it seems to be a pretty darn good deal but I want to make sure I know what I'm getting.

That is a fine binding, I would suggest seeing if they could upgrade you to a better PX Jib or even a Griffon. At your size, you would benefit from a better binding.

What makes the jib version better than the lifter version?

A wider, stationary toe AFD and a metal cradle/housing that makes the binding more laterally rigid and more durable.

Question from the Look fanclub: what makes Griffons better than a good PX12 (the one with metal arms)?

What I like about the Griffon over the comparable Look PX is that the Griffon is lighter w/o any loss in lateral rigidity.

Makes sense.
