I am an advanced/expert skier with 40+ years experience. I bought these skis predominately as a backside / bowl ski for western ski vacations and the like, but found out that I really liked them out in the east as long as it wasn't boiler plate. While the skis felt heavy in my hands, once they were strapped to my feet I did not notice the weight. These skis return a good amount of energy out of the turns, and they were a joy to ski in soft snow moguls. I had the chance to ski these skis at Lake Louise, Sunshine, all over Hokaido Japan, and New Zealand. These skis really like steeper slopes, and require a confident pilot. I still use them in 2010 (mostly as my rock skis) and still enjoy using them.
