Closest Ski Resort with Quad Chairlift in Chicagoland Area of Illinois


Pros: Small Ski Resort with new Quad Chairlift, good beginners areas for learning, close drive to Chicagoland area, good terrain park for practicing jumps.

Cons: Overpriced lift tickets, short runs, tow ropes in the beginners areas tend to get people knock down,

They just installed a quad chairlift last Nov 2011 and it is now operating. This quad chairlift have a cage steel bars that you can bring down while riding it to prevent you from falling off the chairlift. So, it has a safety cage. The resort is great enough for learning the snow sports...skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing. If you don't want to drive for more than one hour from Chicago area to go to a decent ski resorts then this place is perfect. The lift tickets are a bit pricey though...the last time I been here Feb was $39 per person for non-residence of Bartlett city....and its $34 for residence. Then this year 2014, the prices for lift tickets are $39 per person for all...
