Pros: They just work. Wool-free. Durable.
Some people are sensitive to wool, even merino wool. That would pretty much describe my whole family. So, we go with synthetic fibers for socks, base layers, etc. That reduces the choices for ski socks, but there are still options. Having had good experiences with Thorlo socks for other sports, I grabbed a pair of these socks when I saw them on the rack at REI. These are Thorlo's thinnest ski socks and are comparable to most other manufacturer's thinnest ski socks. In my Salomon Falcon 10s, they feel great. They are comfortable, warm and dry.
