Pros: Great service, variety, and entertaining terrain.
Cons: Can get crowded
Sugarbush has been my home mountain for five years. The terrain has so much variety. Depending on who you are you have many different options. You can learn to ski, or if your a thrill seeker you can ski some of New England's trickiest back country lines. The "Church" and all the BC lines in Slide Brook are just some examples. But if your not into that kind of skiing there is something for you. Sugarbush is divided into two parts. Mt. Lincoln and Mt. Ellen. Lincoln has more trails and is considered the "main" part of Sugarbush. However this area tends to be crowded. If you head over to Ellen, you can experience a whole different skiing atmosphere. There are never lines longer then 10minutes even on the deepest days. Ellen houses the resorts steepest trail, "F.I.S."
The good experiences are not limit to just skiing. Sugarbush offers New England's only first tracks cat skiing. On some nights during the season, you can ride the CAT up to the mid-lodge and have a fireside dinner. On the way down, you can Take the CAT or ski it yourself by the moonlight. For breakfast you can have gourmet food at the Timbers restaurant. The mountain also features spas, athletic clubs, and snowshoeing.
