I bought a Spyder jacket a couple of years ago and really loved it so I decided to purchase a pair of ski pants and went with the Spyder brand. I searched the Spyder website and found the Dare insulated pants. They were in my price range, were stylish (I bought the steel/steel/steel color) and after wearing them for the first time at Squaw Valley through rain, sleet and 18" of new powder, found them warm and comfortable with zero water penetration. They were BY FAR the best perfroming product I wore that weekend, even more so than my beloved Spyder jacket. The only negative of the weekend was that I obtained an enormous bruise on one of my shins after the first day of skiing because the inner snow cuffs bunched up in my ski boot. I had to pull that out of my boots for the rest of the weekend.
Other than that minor inconvenience, I would definitely recommend this product!
