Pros: open 7 days, has night skiing

Cons: Can get crowded

We feel fortunate to have this solid hill in our backyard. We've skied in the Michigan UP, Wisconsin, Lutsen and out west. However like many other ski areas, we have felt for some time that the vertical feet they claim is exaggerated. We have been season pass holders for years. We feel the season passes are a great value, best in the area. However in recent years after visiting more areas have began to compare and felt the vertical feet was being exaggerated.  We recently got a ski app which confirmed our sense that the vertical at Spirit is more like 500’ skiable vertical. We have measured all possible runs with our ski app which confirmed our sense that vertical was more like 500’ than the 700’ they claim, our app showed it at 485’ skiable vertical.  The runs are well groomed, but can get pretty busy.

Pros: near duluth

Cons: near duluth

great place, although a little small. But form a MN standard it is large. about double the vertical of the cities resorts and better than giants ridge.

Pros: Good Terrain, Variety, and Best Nightlife of any Ski Area in MN

Cons: Long Drive

Good Value, my only real knock is the lifties, and people serving food were surprisingly rude.

Good skiing conditions, good grooming, and a great place to have fun.
