Sapphire Valley Ski Area
Description:

Sapphire Valley prides itself for being a small resort - there are no crowds, and those hot-doggers that run over everybody at the larger resorts? Nada. Because Sapphire Valley is designed more for the family and beginners, they do not encourage rough play on the slopes. It is a short lift to the top, which means more riding time on the hill versus standing in line at the lift tower. The ski area offers ski and snowboard lessons every hour on the hour with heavy promotion geared toward new skiers - young and old. Basically, Sapphire Valley is a great place to get away from the craziness of those large ski areas.
