Pros: Superb edge feel and support
Cons: color would be nice, and too many adjustment gizmos
Picked these boots for the best of all reasons; the boot-fitter told me to. My foot is 98 MM across the ball, with a narrow heel and so are these boots. The cost above does not include custom work. Had the full program on these, except for custom liner, the fit is amazing to my feet.
Kudos to 'Bootworks' in Park City; about 100 years of experience and about 50 steps from snow. They are good people and highly recommended. Took about 4 stops in the shop to get them dialed in, but they are. On 4th day put down 3 fairly aggressive runs of short radius turns then realized I had been skiing with only 1 buckle fastened.
Solomon targeted these at advanced recreational skiers; they basically detuned some race boots in the name of comfort, a very good trade off. Very responsive edge to edge, and no shin bang in the bumps.
Highly recommended, if your fitter says it's okay.
