Pros: Good Grip, Reasonable Float, Not Too Stiff
Got these for my 8 y.o. son 55-60 lbs, went with 120 cm length. Used the Rossi J something-or-other jr binding. He was moving up from a much shorter 95 cm wood core Elan ski. First time out he hated the additional length, but by the end of his second full day on the skis he loved'em. His ski instructor from the prior winter was impressed by the way my son was bending the skis and getting power out of the tails.
Saw big improvement in my son's skiing over the past winter. The skis definitely didn't hold him back. He transitioned from skiing single blacks with an occasional double-black in ideal conditions, to skiing everything Gore mountain (NY) has to offer, including lap after lap on bumped-up double-diamonds in the Spring. Several of his friends were also on the Solly Fish and they also improved quite a bit over the course of the winter.
Note that the mfg'ers marked mounting point is for an "all mountain" mount, not a "park" mount.
Paid $89 for skis ('07 model on sale) + $40 for bindings + $40 to get bindings mounted/tested.
