Good not great


Pros: Instep strap, quick lacing, very comfy after 2 week break in period

Cons: High volume, a bit too soft, not the most waterproof, non-zonal lacing

I've been a fan of Salomon boots for a while, and have ridden F22s for years. This year the F22s were replaced by the F3.0s, and as I needed new boots, I bought them. The boots use a new wrap lace system which is quick, but not the easiest to dial in a precise fit since it only uses a single lace. The wide strap over the instep is ingenious, as it allows you to tighten the boot and really secure your ankle without cutting into it as with BOAs or many other lacing systems. For being an F-series, the boot was pretty high volume. It was unnoticeably smaller than any other boot but has the huge deficit of the non-removeable liner.
