Narrow profile, good looking and durable!

Pros: Works well, only releases when it really has to. Did I mention good looking?

Cons: Vertical spring on the tail piece can get caught on lift footrests if you aren't paying attention

Have an assortment of this Axial 2 style of bindings; some under the Rossignol name and some as Look.   They do function as advertised, and won't release early under a strong vertical "whump" like some of their competition does.   Between ~18 pairs of skis in the family we have either Salomon or this type on 80+% of our skis.  The one complaint I have with the Salomons is that the heel pieces seem to get damaged a lot faster from using race poles to release them than the Look/Rossis.  The "Scratch 100s" that have been through two racers on 3 pais of skis still are holding up. I also like prefer the toepiece AFD (anti-friction device) on the Looks; the fact that it can actually move makes...
