A great ski for the East

Pros: Versatile, responsive, well designed for the East

Cons: Top sheet chips easily

I purchased the P802 last summer, and have been skiing them as my primary daily driver this season. I have to say, RMU set out to design a ski targeted at the New England market, in particular at Vermont. (802 is the Vermont area code). As a Vermont skier, I'll say they hit the nail on the head. This ski is nice and stiff, and holds an edge on hardpack very well for its width. It isn't an FIS slalom ski in it's edge grip, but it'll bite into all but the hardest of snow surfaces. At the same time, the little bit of tip rocker and its width lets it float when you get into soft snow , chop and crud. Off trail, it is nice and responsive, doing what I want when I want, allowing me to ski tight...
