The folks at Mountain High work miracles within the limitations they face

Pros: Fun, varied terrain; short/no lines at peak times; amazing trail/lift layout and grooming; pretty views of the mountains and desert; great value

Cons: Busy in early season, on 2-day weekends, and when the L.A. folks see a lot of snow on the hilltops; Way understaffed rental office; low elevation

Mountain High

Pros: Easy Drive

Cons: Very Very Very Small, Poor Snow, Almost all terrain park, Very crowded

I am sad to say Mountain High is my home mountain. But if you live in Southern California its is one of the best options within an hours drive. Go 5 hours and your at Mammoth, 8 hours and your at Tahoe. But its hard to beat a 40 minute drive. They cater to the Southern California skate culture, therefore its one big terrain park. Its a great place to learn to ski or board but other than that stay away if possible.
