Mt St Louis - night skiing, terrain parks and good intermediate

Posted

Pros: night skiing (super new lighting), high speed lifts/small lines, beginner to high intermediate (very gradual progression), 5 TERRAIN PARKS!!!!

Cons: No steeps, no glades.

They installed new lighting this year and have the best and most lighting around (75% of the whole hill) The terrain parks are awesome and well maintained, a groms park, intermediate park and an expert park (60 foot jumps, 18 foot pipe, air bag, rails and boxes galore) Food is good and not way expensive. Lots of good terrain for progressing anyone from green to intermediate blue.

A decent hill for Ontario

Pros: High-speed lifts; bumps; good snowmaking; relatively uncrowded

Cons: No glades; no off-piste; not much variety; no night skiing; it's Ontario

On another positive note, four of the...

Pros: Terrain ParkS Half PipeS Moguls

Cons: No Steep runs Busy Family Oriented

MSLM The hill is the 2nd best ski resort in Ontario after Blue Mountain. But has one of the best terrain parks on the East coast. Junk Yard is a terrain park on St. Louis side and is more oriented towards beginners to intermediate terrain park skiers. Don`t get me wrong though there is some quite challenging features in the park. The Outback park is on the Moonstone side and is a advanced to expert skiers park with massive jumps and unbelievable features. The Half pipe here is the best with huge walls a the pillow thing is at the end for people who like to go crazy with their tricks. Over at Junkyard it is very small and one side gets covered in ice so it`s best to stay away from it....
